South Florida is vying to become the bling capital of America — but not like you'd expect. We've already got BET's annual Spring Bling in Riviera Beach, a two-day hip-hop extravaganza aimed at local urban music lovers and black college students on spring break. So it's only fitting that there should be a winter companion to the event. Surely college students home on break will be looking for cool parties, and the first Winter Bling hopes to satisfy everyone's needs at once. The lineup jumps from rap and hood-hop to soca and reggae, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Highlights include Jamaica's Beenie Man, who always delivers a high-energy show, and the Opa-Locka Goon himself, Brisco, who is on the brink of a stellar 2009. Slip-n-Slide's Trina will be on hand to satisfy the ladies, and Ball Greezy and Bizzle will crank out their own special brand of "make it rain" music. The entire thing is hosted by former BET personality Big Tigger and Hoopz from VH1's Flavor of Love, so it should be a salacious event no matter what.
