Forget about Texas Hold-Em or Omaha High Low; series card players know that it takes real strategery to play Magic the Gathering. The ever-expanding collectible card game, which pits two or more opponents against each other with the ability to cast spells and animate monsters, has been through countless iterations over its 10-plus-year existence. Today at War and Pieces, Magic fans will get a chance to play with the latest expansion set, Conflux, before it's available anywhere else. The event organizers say it will be the largest, er, gathering of Magic players of its kind in South Florida. Comers will get hands on experience with the new packs, and demos and instructions will be given to those just starting out.
