If your tan lines are fading faster than Gary Busey’s sanity, kill two birds by wandering booth-to-booth at the Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Craft Festival this weekend. Not only can you scorch your shoulders by meandering along Ocean Drive, but you can also do some shopping en plein air while chatting with the artists who created the goods. The producers of the show swear they were selective when choosing the 150 potters, jewelers, painters, seamstresses, and designers hawking their wares, so whether you can only afford a $3 scented soap bar or are willing to plunk down 3,000 clams for a sculpture, there’s bound to be at least one thing worth taking home… besides a sunburn.
The festival can be enjoyed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 4400 N. Ocean Dr. (where A1A meets Commercial Blvd.) in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. Admission is free. Call 954-472-3755, or visit artfestival.com.
