It Matches Their Eyes

Let’s take a quick break from all the hardcore hockey talk and speak on something more suited to the Sidney Crosby and Pittsburgh Penguins: their fashion sense. The Penguins clearly have the most hideous third jerseys in hockey history. Powder blue jerseys only work for one team, and they play football in San Diego. The Penguins third jerseys look like a class of colorblind kindergarteners designed them. They make the team look more like figure skaters than hockey players, which suits Sidney “Don’t Hit Me or I’ll Cry” Crosby pretty well. It’s just a shame to see the superior Evgeni Malkin have to wear such weak gear.

Back on the sports front, the Florida Panthers are playing inconsistent hockey right now, and that’s not going to cut it if they hope to make the playoffs. Tonight’s game against a strong team like the Penguins is as important as any, both confidence wise and in the standings.
