Quick — name an affair that’s lasted 47 years without Viagra. Nope, it’s not the one Charles initiated with Camilla while Di was still kicking; it’s the Delray Affair, an immensely popular event attracting over 300,000 visitors annually. Unlike some of the smaller street fairs providing only trinkets and a lemonade stand, this behemoth comprises over 700 arts and crafts exhibits representing a variety of mediums, along with rides and games for the kiddies and several food booths. Two “Guzzlin’ in the Garden” beer gardens will feature continuous live entertainment all weekend, including Tony Wilson who, critics claim, has channeled the Godfather of Soul’s spirit.

Delray Affair consumes E. Atlantic Avenue from west of Swinton Avenue to the Intracoastal. The event starts at 10 a.m., and ends at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Call 561-278-0424, or visit delrayaffair.com to find out about parking and free shuttle buses.
