Do You Cut the Colonel Mustard?

No other form of entertainment has made more fun out of horrible, gruesome, cold-blooded murder than Clue, the mystery-solving board game where players attempt to discover who dunnit, where they dunnit, and what they dunnit with. Tonight at the 14th Annual Clueless on Las Olas, a real life version of the famous game, folks can test their gumshoe skills up and down Las Olas Boulevard, a setting that's no doubt seen its fair share of intrigue.

The board game-cum-block party will close down the boulevard along SE 9th Ave., where amateur sleuths will gather to get clued in on the mystery proper. Entrants will get a program that gives a little information on the story and its key players, before being scooted off to search for hints. Then, it's anything goes. Plenty of priceless bits of info will be scattered about various restaurants and businesses around the block, and the street will be teeming with "snitches" - cash-hungry witnesses who will share their clues with you, but only for a price. Don't worry, though: all proceeds from the snitches, as well as the $40 entry fee, will go towards Partners in Education, a program benefiting Broward County Public Schools. At the end of the night, the top private dick will receive a suite for 20 people at an upcoming Florida Panthers game.

Registration for the murder mystery starts at 5:30 p.m., and includes a spread of tasty food and drink that will stay put until the action starts at 7 (because a hungry detective is a poor detective). For more information, call 954-288-7201, or visit browardpartners.com.
