If you, A) like your pop music with a heavy pour of saccharine, and B) would listen to Lily Allen if she were a little less British, or C) enjoy going to shows populated by young girls wearing liberal applications of eye makeup, then youâre in luck. Katy Perry â the latest Christian gospel singer turned pop musician to top Billboardâs charts â is wrapping her Smashbox lip gloss around Revolutionâs microphone tonight. Sheâs riding the wave of her first commercial success, the 2008 platinum-selling album One of the Boys. The record carried three hits for the mischievous musician: the YouTube sneak success âUr So Gay,â the Paula Abdul conjuring track âHot And Cold,â and of course, the tequila lesbian chart-topper, âI Kissed A Girl.â Opening act, the Î80s pop revival band Alpha Beat, is warming up this sold-out show.
