We can't bring the troops home just yet, but we can honor our servicemen with a tradition as American as apple pie, only tastier: the bikini contest. It makes sense that to spice up the fourth coming of Seminole Hard Rock's annual Fleet Week celebration, Seminole Paradise organizers are calling on one of South Florida's most abundant natural resources. 20 to 40 bikinied beauties are expected to come out and strut their stuff in friendly competition for the sake of our seamen. Contestants will honor and entertain active military servicemen from the Coast Guard, Navy, and Marines while vying for their admiration - and a $1000 cash prize.

The bikini contest goes down Monday at 9 p.m. at the Center Fountain in Seminole Paradise (1 Seminole Way, inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood). Admission is free and open to everyone. For more information, call 954-585-5113, or visit seminolehardrock.com. The contest is one of several events going on this week while the servicemen are docked in Fort Lauderdale; find more at browardnavydaysinc.org.
