The Pretty Faces are exactly what local music needs: unique and unpretentious rock 'n' rollers. Although the threesome is true to its name, there's more to it than style. Tom, Jeph, and Hannah Thorslund (Jeph and Hannah married in '07) craft tight, catchy tunes that almost seem out of place in the local music scene. The Pretty Faces have a cleaned-up garage punk/new wave sound as if Elvis Costello, the Kinks, and Elliott Smith had a baby and taught it how to thrash. Today, TPF is releasing its second CD, Another Sound, at South Florida's coolest new venue, Propaganda. Supporting local music has never been easier.
