Verse Versus Verse

Poets from the upper echelons, such as Tony Award-winner Black Ice, Abyss Graham, Ainsley Burrows, Tommy Bottoms, Malik Salaam, Brook Yung, and Ed Mabrey, will duke it out verbally this weekend at the annual Underground Poet's Society’s Poetry Conference. Write Side Poets, Asia, Chris Da Imperial, and the 2006 Delray Beach Grand Slam Champion Renda Writer will represent South Florida. Attend workshops directed by top-notch poets and performers, open mic and poetry shows, and neo-soul and hip-hop showcases before throwin’ down at the $1,500 cash talent competition and $500 youth poetry slam.
