When youre applying to become a member of a group as exclusive as industrial-metal act Nine Inch Nails, there has to be a No Showboating disclaimer somewhere on the contract. No matter how amazing you are, this is still Trent Reznors band, and you will always be his guest. Breaking out with a surprise solo on stage would probably render punishment from a left-over torture device featured in one of their old music videos.

This may or may not be the reason Alessandro Cortini recently left NIN to return to his own electro-alternative outfit, Modwheelmood. Teaming up with guitarist Pelle Hillström, the duo creates a pop-synth sound slightly different then Trent would produce. Think less angry, more ambient rock with just a touch of Radiohead-esque vocals. Modwheelmood are touring to celebrate the limited release of Pearls To Pigs; only 500 copies are being pressed, so make sure to pick up a copy at the show.
