If the Marlins Make the Playoffs, Does it Make a Sound?

In case you haven’t noticed (and you probably haven’t) the Florida Marlins are making some noise in the National League postseason race. And in case you didn’t think it possible for them to make a serious run (and you probably didn’t) you should re-think that position, because the Fish might be for real. Out of the second-half gate, they’ve been strong and now are at the cusp of a playoff berth. They’re still only drawing about twelve people to their games — but it’s all good. Because, as Kevin Costner once told us, “If Hanley keeps hitting the crap out of the ball, they will come” (or something to that effect). In the meantime, you should jump on the bandwagon now — before it blows up. Florida takes on the Houston Astros Monday night at LandShark Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami). First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. Call 1-877-MARLINS or visit florida.marlins.mlb.com.
Mon., Aug. 10, 7:10 p.m.; Tue., Aug. 11, 7:10 p.m.; Wed., Aug. 12, 7:10 p.m., 2009
