Nun Too Sure

So a priest walks into a classroom -- you can probably figure out how the rest goes. As a joke, the priest-as-molester punch line is obvious. In real life, though, you'd better be damn certain of your suspicions if you're going to say anything. That's the dilemma facing Sister Aloysius, the principal of a Bronx Catholic school in the award-winning play Doubt: A Parable. She has a bad feeling about Father Flynn, whose been paying a little extra attention to a young student named Donald. But intuition is all the sister has; Father Flynn denies it, and Donald's mother has his back. Sister Aloysius must decide whether to carry through with her crusade, or let Chester get the best of her. Doubt opens Friday at 8 p.m. and runs through October 11 at the Main Street Playhouse (6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes). Tickets cost $15 and $20. Call 305-558-3737, or visit mainstreetplayers.com.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Sept. 25. Continues through Oct. 11, 2009
