The Casanova Freestyle Reunion, this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the James L. Knight Center (400 SE 2nd Ave) is like a Just for Men commercial with hip hoppers. Instead of Emmitt Smith and his weird beard sitting in a rocking chair, it’s going to be the Sugar Hill Gang poppin’ fish oil and playing canasta with Big Daddy Kane. Also on the card are old-schoolers Debbie Deb, Tavares, and Brenda K Starr, hopping around on their fake hips, hopped up on Lipitor and insulin. Plus Vanilla Ice!

Yes, Vanilla Ice is going to be there in the flesh and laying it down, getting all Robert Van Winkle on everyone’s wrinkled asses. It’s going to be the bee’s knees, jackmove. But the hip-hop geezers aren’t just there to make you laugh (like when grandpa busts a move at a family reunion); part of the proceeds of the concert will be donated towards breast cancer research. Mothaf*ckas ain’t ready. Tickets range from $30 to $56. Call 305-416-5977 or visit jlks.com.
