So You Think You Can Dance is one of those shows that someone probably has to turn you on to. Unless you’re a dance major or aspiring choreographer, your reality-television-dance-show quotient is likely nil, or already filled by Dancing With the Stars. That’s a damn shame. Although SYTYCD doesn’t have overweight retired sports stars and Saved By The Bell alumni, it has much more going for it. SYTYCD has something for everyone, with dancers performing a vast array of intricate dance styles like hip hop, jazz, modern, ballroom, ballet, Broadway, and salsa. The best part? It’s all performed by universally beautiful people at or near the height of their dancing talent. The top 12 contestants from season five are performing tonight at 7:30 at American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami). Tickets start at $38.50, but $56 will get you close enough to study the seams in their wardrobe. Call 954-835-8326, or visit ticketmaster.com.
