If you grew up in a family of eaters whose concept of sharing samples was snagging all the best bites right off your plate while they polished off their own food (without even sharing a tiny morsel), it’s no wonder your forearms stay snug around your dish when you eat today. Of course, the thought of a “family-style” eatery brings on a panic attack.

But no longer will you settle for the short end of the wishbone, friend. At Taste of the Palm Beaches, it’s your turn to sample the best bites. Try eats from more than 50 local restaurants and shops, from Zuccarelli’s and Sushi Jo to Ouzo Blue and Hoffman’s Chocolates. Pair them with endless pours of champagne, wine, and beer. Live music and ice carvings start the party at 5:30 p.m. at PGA Commons (5080 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens.) Tickets cost $35, with proceeds benefitting the Big Heart Brigade’s efforts to supply holiday meals for the hungry. Call 561-799-2853, or visit tasteofthepalmbeaches.com.
