The reality of Catholic high school tarnishes the dream of Catholic high school. The reality is that priests and nuns are sober, restrained elders with stern humors. If you were spanked, you didn’t enjoy the chastisement. If a nun was nasty, it wasn’t referring to the new positive spin on the word — it just meant she was probably wickedly old and cold. If a priest was a perv, you’d throw a lawsuit at him like it was Homecoming’s game-winning touchdown. This Friday at 9 p.m. Electrolust will dirty up the cloth when Vicars and Tarts Soiree hits Club X-It (219 N. 21st Ave., Hollywood). Now, “Pervy Priests” and “Nasty Nuns,” can put on the work attire, and “Naughty skoolgirz & boys” show up in uniform (school girls wearing short skirts get free booze from 9 to 10 p.m.). Catholics, be ready for confession. And to be disciplined. There will be a video confessional set up via a video cam and monitor, complete with a spanking bench. Repenting those sins will get you zero Hail Marys — but maybe some prizes. So, teachers, don’t leave those kids alone. Tickets are $10 in advance, $20 at the door. Visit myspace.com/electrolusthollywood, or call 954-822-6350.
