It Is That Easy Being Green

You probably already separate your plastic, paper, and aluminum. You might even turn off the lights when you leave a room, or turn the water off while you brush your teeth. But today at the South Florida Living Green Fair at John U. Lloyd State Park (6503 N Ocean Dr., Dania Beach), you’ll learn how to bring it to the next level. Test drive electric and hybrid vehicles, or participate in a beach cleanup. You’ll also learn how to create an organic garden. There will be a cooking demonstration , and sampling of food and wine. Children can help paint a large mural depicting a healthy ecosystem, or play educational games. The fair takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is free if you bring two recyclable items, or $5 for a family of five or less. Bring $6 to park the car. Both fees are cash only. This is a rain-or-shine event.
