Carlos Mencia, the controversial Latino comedian famous for lampooning racial stereotypes, politics and anything else that suits his fancy, will perform standup tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Hard Rock Live. He got his start performing at Los Angeles comedy clubs and released his first album in 2000. Five years later, Mencia, who has been accused of plagiarism by other comedians, broke into cable TV with the Comedy Central sketch show Mind of Mencia. On the show, he popularized the phrase “Dee- Dee-Dee” and tried to entertain and insult at the same time. So if you’re going to see Carlos Mencia’s stand-up act at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood), prepare to get offended. But don’t worry, you will probably laugh too. Tickets cost $32 to $52. Call 1-800-745-3000, or visit ticketmaster.com.
