This Thanksgiving weekend, let the holiday shopping operate like a Choose Your Own Adventure book. Will you (a) Spend the early waking hours of Black Friday at the bottom of a sweaty dogpile stuck in the automatic doorway to Wal-Mart or will you (b) Sleep in and spend the day plotting handmade projects, kitschy presents and gifts made with little funds but plenty of L-O-V-E? If you chose option “A” then stop reading now, there’s no hope for you. Option “B”? Move along and head to Undergrounds Coffeehaus for a craft fair today. Local crafters will set up shop from 4 to 7 p.m. showcasing homemade gifts, jewelry, art and the like. There’s no cover to peruse. Stay late for the legendary caffeine-fueled “stitch-n-bitch” sit-in (it's their one year anniversary) that’ll go until 1 a.m. Consider it a marathon jam session for crafty folks.
