Ali Shirazinia, AKA Dubfire, is half of renowned duo Deep Dish and is its decidedly more musically forward-thinking member. As a solo producer in his own right, though, he's garnered equally significant recognition. In 2007, he launched his own label and taste-making music platform, Science + Technology Digital Audio, and has since built up a solid fan base for its roster of innovative emerging artists like Paul Ritch, Rocha & Lewinger, Delete, and the Dolphins. Meanwhile, as Dubfire, his own productions have won accolades and industry nods, including two consecutive Best Techno Artist Beatport awards in 2008 and 2009. His singular brand of techno is cutting-edge, and discerning dance music fans won't want to miss his special extended set Saturday at Gryphon.
