Clip Those Wings

The Miami Heat’s season motto “Good Enough Ain’t Enough” is hard to miss on radio ads, but so far “good enough” is all the Heat fan is going to get. Still, watching Dwyane Wade play live for $10 (upper level tickets) should be reason enough to over to American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami) this Monday.

The games against the Celtics, Cavs and Lakers get all the hype, but true basketball fans know it’s the up-and-coming talent that’s the most fun to watch. And the Atlanta Hawks, true to their mascot’s abilities, are definitely on their way up, quietly perching near the top of the Eastern Conference since the beginning of the season. Led by guard Joe Johnson, one of the best scorers in the league, the Hawks also have a great frontcourt in second-year center Al Horford (member of the back-to-back NCAA champion Florida Gators) and stud Josh Smith, already a crafty veteran at age 24. Expect a fun, fast, and high powered game that could become a previous of playoff time. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. Call 786-777-1250 or visit miamiheat.com.
