In the state where its still illegal to adopt a child if youre gay and where the hateful, chicken-shit Amendment 2 that defines marriage as the legal union between one man and one woman passed just 14 months ago, its safe to say that the LGBT community around here occasionally feels pretty (justifiably) fucked-over. Thankfully, the folks in Tallahassee still havent made same-sex poker a crime in Florida, which makes Monday nights at the newly opened Stonewall Tavern (200 N. Broadwalk, Hollywood) a great place for the LGBTCP (thatd be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, card-playing) community. From 9 p.m. to midnight, a $5 tip for the dealer gets you into a game that can win you a $125 bar tab.
