Once again, mainstream pop culture is wrong — so you can go ahead and eradicate whatever thoughts Pink’s new pop song stirs up with its lyrics “This used to be a Funhouse/But now it’s full of evil clowns” — like that’s a bad thing! If Pink knew what we knew about the Little Death Circus event at Club X-It (219 N. 21st Ave., Hollywood) this Saturday, she would be singing “This is a Funhouse/Because now it’s full of sexy evil clowns.”

This circus is brought to you by the ElectroLust team — the same folks who organize “kinky vampire fetish raves” and “Halloween play parties.” The Little Death Circus is so named because, in Shakespeare’s time, little death was a metaphor for a sexual climax. In addition to the promised clowns, you’ll find stilt walkers, belly dancers, fire breathers, and vampyre fetish performers. Those 18 and over are welcome; an e-vite making its way around the internet specifically calls for “Fetish Lovers, Freaks, BDSMer’s, Vampires, Metal Heads, Cyber Goths, Ravers, Gravers, Kandi kidz, and anyone lookin’ for Crazy Fuckin’ Partys!” Spelling be damned, music will be provided by DJs KC Kill Joy, Antichrist, Mad Hatter, and Alex Dalliance, among others.
