If ever a band were built for an arena, it's Phish, back after a handful of years with a fresh commitment to its avant-expansive rock. This isn't one of those comebacks in which a group reprises a "classic" album, thankfully (although Phish covered the Stones' Exile on Main Street on Halloween). The quartet is picking up where it left off, sprinkling tunes from a solid new album (and a new album of B-sides) into a tried-and-true constellation of emotionally resonant folk-rock, idiosyncratic prog-rock, and hyperspatial improvisations. This New Year's Eve show is the peak of its recent four-day run in Miami, but if you're interested and reading this, you probably already tried to get tickets.
