All Aboard the Energy Bus
Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra gave each member of his team a motivational book as a Christmas gift: Jon Gordon’s The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work and Team With Positive Energy. “It’s a poignant book,” Spoelstra told the Sun-Sentinel. “We’re at our best when we’re on that energy bus and we have that effort, that energy, and that intensity.” Whether they read it, though, is up to them, Spoelstra says. “Some guys will read parts of it, and if they don’t, the parts that I want them to get will be the daily lectures to them from time to time.”

You can watch the Heat ride the Energy Bus this Monday night at Whisky Tango (1903 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood) as they visit the Utah Jazz. Tip-off is at 9 p.m., but get there early for the weekly Monday Happy Hour, starting at 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. where all drinks are buy one, get one free.
