For this American holiday, we get together with friends and family in the flickering glow of a big screen. We eat. We drink. We rate commercials. We make art out of consumerism, capitalism. We gamble. We root for the stories, the symbol of resurgence in a great American city, the anointed prince ready to seal his legacy. We do this for a game no other country likes. We display strength and power. We come together as a nation, as a people.
