Super Bowl 2010 at Sun Life Stadium

The Super Bowl is the most American of all our holidays. True, the day isn’t marked on calendars or designated by Congress (yet), but what people do on Super Bowl Sunday is much more American than eating cranberry sauce or sitting around a lake, lighting foreign-made fireworks.

On this great holiday, America celebrates its beautiful, barbaric self. This year, the altar is in South Florida. If you can make it out to the stadium to worship in person, the Indianapolis Colts play against the New Orleans Saints at 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $2,899. Visit ticketmaster.com.
Sun., Feb. 7, 6:30 p.m., 2010
