Now, youre an adult and you think those bad dreams were just a cleansing of childhood anxieties. Well, youre wrong -- because the toys come alive at the Miami Science Museum (3280 S. Miami Ave., Miami) when Cabaret Mechanical Theatre winds up its cavalcade of terror.
Running now through September 6, the museum claims this cabarets all about a collection of over 40 mechanical sculptures, called automata
brought to life by tiny cranks, pulleys, and gears. Sure, sounds cute, but our nightmares tell a drastically different story. Admission costs $14.95 for adults and $10.95 for seniors, students, and children. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Call 305-646-4200, or visit miamisci.org.
