Dropkick Murphys are a familiar sight and sound at Boston-area sporting events. The Beantown bruisers have performed at several Bruins and Red Sox games, and those teams have adopted the band's "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" and "Tessie," respectively, as post-game victory anthems. Their concerts resemble sporting events themselves, with rabid fans decked out in all manner of Murphys memorabilia, and the band's aggressive Irish-flavored punk rock is as hard-hitting as any hip check or home-plate collision. (Don't go near the pit unless you've had at least a year or two of post-high-school football either.) Now approaching their 15th anniversary, the Murphys hit Revolution on their yearly warm-up tour for their legendary string of hometown St. Patrick's Day shows. Last year's seven-night stand at Boston's House of Blues has been distilled into the Live on Lansdowne, Boston, MA CD/DVD package that conveniently drops March 16.
