Film Fest Roundup

As the Miami International Film Festival winds down this week, there are still some choice films showing.

This Thursday at 8 p.m., see Trash Humpers at Cosford Cinema (University of Miami Memorial Building, Campo Dano Drive, Coral Gables), the latest film by Kids director Harmony Korine. Four insane old people have their way with pancakes and trash in this “ode to vandalism.”

In Friday night’s documentary Sins of My Father, Pablo Escobar’s sons tell what it was like growing up with a drug lord for a father. The screening is 7:15 p.m. at Regal South Beach (1100 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach).

Two Oscar-nominated films showing at this year’s fest show this weekend. Argentine thriller The Secret in Their Eyes is the closing-night film at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Gusman Center (174 E. Flagler St., Miami). The Milk of Sorrow from Peru screens Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at Regal South Beach. Tickets cost $6 to $25. Call 305-405-6433, or visit miamifilmfestival.com.
