Past Rock, Present Tense

If the South Florida music scene were a monarchy, this line up at Respectable Street (518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach) would be the king’s brother. He’d probably be a better king who was born second so never got the crown. The Holy Terrors, a throaty alt-rock, grunge fusion band, originally formed in South Florida in 1990. The band set up shop in the bubbling primordial ooze of the current scene and dug in tight until the years passed and clubs began to open. They will be joined by Charlie Pickett, a country rocker who labels himself as Americana and has been putting out albums since 1982. The Freakin Hott, South Florida’s beloved indie-glam rock trio that was voted South Florida’s Best Rock Band three times, will also play. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $7. Sat., March 20, 8 p.m., 2010
