It wasn’t that long ago when South Florida got shafted: This area was left out of almost every music tour that didn’t involve the swamp or a fairground. But then entered the era of the small emo-metal and pop punk tours like Taste of Chaos. The next moderately-sized tour of this kind, The Toursick, will start its 40-city blitz at Revolution Live (200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). The headliner will be A Day to Remember. A pioneer of the “Emo Metal Pop” scene, A Day to Remember hails from not-so-distant Ocala. August Burns Red, the Christian metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, will also share the lineup. Other bands set to perform are Canadian pop-punks Silverstein, British electro-punks Enter Shikari, and Tallahassee-based alt-poppers Go Radio. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $19.
