In the 50s, the Tupperware party types were the ones who celebrated the dawning of suburbia and plastic. And saleswoman Brownie Wise was the partys pioneer. After she appeared on the cover of Business Week, Earl Tupper, the inventor of Tupperware, got jealous of her fame. He cut her out of the company in 1958 and went as far as to delete all references about her from his companys literature.
