Bling Brothers

A gift of extravagant jewels has always been the best way for one man to tell another how he feels. So when Florida Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria presented Hanley Ramirez with a commemorative “.342” (the All Star shortstop’s 2009 league-leading batting average) pendant encrusted with nearly 400 diamonds, the boss was basically saying: “Han-Ram, you are my man. You are my one and only.”

This Friday, though, it’s your turn to be appreciated. Go get your bling when the Fish face the Los Angeles Dodgers at Sun Life Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens) in the regular-season home opener. The first 5,000 fans to win at Billy Bingo will get a replica of Han-Ram’s new hardware. The bad news: It’ll be plastic and diamond-free. Apparently, Loria doesn’t love you like he loves Hanley. The game starts at 7:10 p.m., and tickets cost $14 or more. Call 877-MARLINS, or visit floridamarlins.com.
