Tuesdays at Monterey Club should not be kept a secret. South Floridians, it would be hard to stumble upon another joint that offers such great tunes every week. Location: The Monterey Club is deserted in the middle of nowhere AKA South Federal Highway on the way to the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Youll know it by the hot rods kept outside, the roller rink to its left, or the fact that its attached to a tattoo shop. Vibe: The rockabilly/retro-themed bar has animal-print rugs and cushy coaches that line the walls. Buzz: No liquor, but the prime selection of 35-plus beers, as well as cider and wine, will please.
