Ready for Prom?!
Rent the limos and score a date — prom is here for the Coffee Class of 2010 of Undergrounds Coffeehaus. Yes, the lovable owner of the Haus, Aileen Liptak, has confirmed that a few will be arriving in limos, some in prom dresses, and at least one man in a tuxedo T-shirt. It’s no ages: High school students to adults will intermix — folks, now you can take your husband or wife to the prom, and do it right. A photo op under an arch will be set up, and a professional photographer will take your cheesy prom photo. You know the ones — your partner stands behind you, one hand on top of the other (you can grab those photos off the Haus’ Facebook page). Liptak will sell corsages and boutonnieres: They’ll be made out of fake flowers, little ribbons, and a sack of coffee beans. Prom horror movies — Carrie, Prom Night, and the Rage: Carrie 2(Carrie 2 was chosen just because Carrie wasn’t pissed off enough in the original one, Liptak offers) will play in the background. There will be cake, punch, and no cover. And be wary: Liptak might call out, “Dim the lights! Everybody slow dance,” just to watch her loyal customers squirm.
