OK, so those Pixar Toy Story films teach your little rug rats how to buy another action figure, but not much else. So, instead of paying the new $40 family-of-four ticket prices at your local 3-D Imax, maybe it’s time for the kids to spend the afternoon with toys they can actually learn from. This summer, right up until September 12, the South Florida Science Museum (4801 Dreher Trail North;, West Palm Beach) will host “Science in Toyland,” an interactive educational exhibit that will explain just why knocked dominos cause such a chain reaction. Teaching the kids about physics and having fun? Surely, that has to be worth the price of admission, which ranges from $6 to $9 depending on age. Call 561-832-1988, or visit sfsm.org.
Sundays, noon; Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m. Starts: June 6. Continues through Sept. 12, 2010
