Metal’s Fantastic Four

If you’re a metalhead, proud to rock those long, greasy locks that you bang ever so gracefully to bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, you probably were sooo pissed you didn’t live in Poland on June 16, when the Big Four shared a bill for the Sonisphere Festival. The event marked the first time metal greats Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth were all together on one stage. The bands will continue on tour together through Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, among other places.

If the gates of hell don’t open, swallowing the stage, fans, and festival grounds, you’re in luck. The Big Four will be coming to a theater near you on Tuesday. Fans worldwide will be able to see the Bulgaria show, in the city of Sofia, which will be broadcast in more than 450 movie theaters at 7:30 p.m. Participating theaters include Cypress Creek Station 16 (6415 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale), Magnolia Place 16 (9645 Westview Drive, Coral Springs), and Shadowood 16 (889 Glades Road, Boca Raton). Tue., June 22, 7:30 p.m., 2010
