Hopefully thats all coming to an end Saturday with the group art show Screw Nostalgia I Want the Future, starring works inspired by robots, space, and aliens. The show will feature the futuristic interpretations of local artists such as graphic designer Jose Lopez of Freedom Art, whose responsible for the popular For Arts Sake series of shows around Fort Lauderdale. Lopez's whimsical illustrations tend to be nostalgic with their vintage aesthetic, so it'll be interesting to see if his vision for the future still carries that theme despite the show's title to the contrary. Also showing will be artists David DaCosta, Bukubuku, Matthew Groves, Project Detonate, Ashley Fedo, Ryan Klaverweide, Lynette May, Andrew Bargeron, Comagirl, Jose Lopez, Valentina Crespo (Kawaii Universe), and Camilo Bejarano. The free show starts at 7 p.m. at Pinkghost (1888 Polk St., Hollywood).
