At unlikely rap venue Exit 66, you can catch a quick introductory course in hip-hop history. Even without a hit record for 30 years, the Sugar Hill Gang is still known worldwide for the 15-minute party rocker "Rapper's Delight." Although a large part of their legacy extends from mistakenly being credited with recording the first hip-hop song ever, Wonder Mike, Big Bank Hank, and Master Gee still played an integral part in bringing rap music to the commercial forefront.

Rounding out the lineup is two-fifths of the original Furious Five: Scorpio and Grandmaster Melle Mel. Aside from his frequent muscleman poses in photographs, Melle Mel won three Grammys, wrote a hip-hop children's book with contributions from Lady Gaga, was inducted (along with Scorpio) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is rumored to be seeking a career in professional wrestling. For the younger fans lectured about how they don't make 'em like they used to, here's your chance to find out what the hell those old-timers are talking about. As for the old-school aficionados dishing out lectures, attendance is mandatory.
