For eight years, there has been a steady spot for Wednesdays and booze in West Palm Beach. Within two miles of downtown, in the El Cid district, lies a 43-room historic boutique hotel. The fancy say this building was built in likeness of Bermuda’s vernacular architecture. Whether you agree or would rather use the words “1940s Bahamas colonial-style building” makes no difference to us: Either way, within these walls holds a legendary bar. And inside that chic bar, along with the imported teak furnishings, there are wines, champagne, beers, and premium liquor. We’re sure the Wednesdays nights have changed there throughout the years, but for eight earth rotations, patrons have gone there to drink — so let’s give you the lowdown of what goes down now. From 9 to 2 a.m., there is a Wednesday Night Champagne Party to the musical backdrop of tunes provided by their house DJ.
