Robyn Entrances Fillmore Miami With High-Power Pop

Looking at the 31-year-old Swedish musician now, it would be hard to imagine that Robyn is cut from the same cloth as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera — minus working for the Mouse. She got her break on the U.S. charts in 1997, thanks to fellow countryman and überproducer Max Martin, with singles like "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love." Robyn seemed to all but disappear stateside until her 2005's self-titled album caught the attention of the blogosphere — and Perez Hilton — and won the hearts of music critics who almost always find satisfaction in slamming the pop genre.

Robyn, hood.

More About

This year, Robyn delivered her most ambitious work to date. Ambitious in the fact that she released her latest album, Body Talk, as three mini-albums in a digital world that has nearly killed the format. The final part of the trilogy will be released on November 23, leading with the electro-pop single "Indestructible."
