Beer: Not Just for Breakfast Anymore
Mmm. Beer. Everybody likes beer. Light beer. Dark beer. Red beer. Ales, lagers, stouts, and pilsners. It has so many uses. If you get a promotion at work, your friends buy you a beer. If you get fired at work, your friends buy you a beer. Rinsing your hair with beer will make it super shiny, or so we hear, since we’ve never been willing to sacrifice the beer to find out. So what better way to mark the anniversary of Roxy’s Pub than with beer? About the only time you can’t celebrate with beer is at an AA party, and well, this occasion will not be marking anyone’s first year of sobriety. At this momentous event — celebrating the entire pub — instead of getting your one-year chip, you’ll be getting a gift in the form of a commemorative glass to drink beer samples from all night long. So a round or two simply will not do. No, no. This calls for as many refills as you can manage from 7 to 10 p.m. at Roxy’s Second Annual Beerfest (309 Clematis St., West Palm Beach).
