Do you have a significant other, male or female, who is maybe more into hot rods and football than wine and theater? And did you, perhaps over the holidays, drag said other to various events that he or she hated — maybe a nephew’s fifth-grade holiday play or a performance of The Nutcracker? Both? Wow, you’re mean. Well, here’s your chance to make it up to him/her. The 11th Full Throttle Show of Shows will be hosted by the Sheehan Autocomplex from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. At this annual event, your car enthusiast can register and display his/her vehicular love, including Pro-Mods, Alky, and Nitrous cars. There’s even a prize for Best in Show in each category. And not only will you be soothing your conscience about taking poor other to Christmas at Nana’s but you’ll know that the $20 registration fee is helping to support the Darrel Gwynn Foundation to find a cure for paralysis and to donate wheelchairs to those in need.
