The Miami International Film Festivals second week features a bevy of fantastic films to soothe the indie-film-loving beast inside us all. Thursdays films include Germanys Young Goethe in Love, a Shakespeare in Love-style historical romp about Germanys great poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe and his perilous and tragic tale of love and loss that inspired him to pen his masterpiece, The Sorrows of Young Werther. MIFFs second week also features Magic City Memoirs, director Aaron J. Salgados love letter to Miami that tells the story of three private-school pals and their journey into the SoBe life of sex, drugs, and hip-hop. MIFF also closes things out with its Awards Night on Saturday, when itll screen the Academy Award-nominated Canadian film Incendies. You can also catch encore screenings of James Marshs engrossing documentary Project Nim as well as Peter Stormares powerful performance in Small Town Murder Songs.
