Gather ’round, young people, and we’ll tell you a story. Our protagonist is Martin Short. You might remember Short from such seminal roles as Ned Nederlander in ¡Three Amigos! or Franck Eggelhoffer from Father of the Bride. No? Come on! Franck, the wedding planner? “The chipper chicken”? Still no? Well, the point of the story — excepting the short-lived Ed Grimley cartoon in the ’80s and the Juminy Glick period — is that Martin Short is funny! Don’t believe us? Good... the plot thickens. Witness for yourself (sure, now you’re part of the story!) when Short performs standup at 8 p.m. Monday at Hard Rock Live (5747 Seminole Way, Hollywood).
