Save the omelet station, Jell-O molds, and chafing dishes full of flaccid French toast for the post-church chat groups. When it comes to discerning young brunchers, if a meal doesn't include a wrist band, a bottomless Bloody Mary bar, a DJ, and an enough substance in the dish to shake off last night's indulgences, then you can count many of them out. This may be why restaurateurs have to up the ante with special touches like Sunday Shipwrecked at Atlantic Ocean Club (217 East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach). From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. guests can get nicely blitzed on the club's champagne brunch with choices of Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Brunch dishes include fried chicken and waffles, housemade granola, lemon-ricotta hotcakes with sour cherry preserves, and lobster benedict. Besides the champagne (which is required!), specialty cocktails get dolled up with ingredients like agave vectar, rosemary syrup, elderflower, basil, and balsamic glaze. Prices range between $9 to $19. Call 561-450-7557, or visit atlanticoceanclub.com.
Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: April 24. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
