If your home furnishings mimic your favorite local pub or an IKEA clearance, thats not your fault you decorate what you know. But this doesnt mean you dont secretly daydream for extravagance. Friday, the Museum of Arts All Together Now group of 20- and 30-somethings with an interest in art and design will gather for an interior-design-inspired Sips and Bites event at the Design Center of the Americas. Enjoy a private viewing of DCOTA Showhouses Film + Design: The Golden Age of Hollywood while knocking back cocktails and eats inspired by the rooms used in the exhibition. This exhibit features a 10,000-square-foot model house with 18 beautifully designed rooms created by leading interior design firms and inspired by American film from the 1920s through 1960s. Buying a glossy copy of Interior Design magazine is not for everyone.
