In South Florida, there’s no shortage of blasé art shows, but who really wants to buy a painting that looks like it’s from a doctor’s office? Not us. Thank you, Amanda and J.R. Linton, for “Art Rock,” an art show and indie marketplace showcasing the work of local accomplished and up-and-coming artisans. With more than 50 vendors displaying their talents through an array of media and styles, it’s safe to say nobody will be leaving empty-handed. No need to worry about fussy purchasing or those silly red dots either; this is a you-want-it-you-got-it type of environment. In addition to all the great shoppable art and tons of raffle prizes, the first 100 people will receive a free swag bag, so get there early! “Art Rock” is from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Armory Art Center (1700 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach ). Entry is $5 and free for children under 12. Visit artrockrocks.com.
